Phillips reflects on run as Nebraska Teacher of the Year

Going to college football national championship game was a highlight

Nebraska’s 2024 Teacher of the Year Scott Phillips celebrates after hitting the target in a football throw that won him $1,000 to use in his classroom. The challenge was just one of many activities surrounding Phillips’s trip with other teachers of the year from around the nation to attend the college football national championship game in Atlanta on Jan. 20.
