Locals can donate used shoes from now until December 1

    Women’s charity group Philanthropic Educational Organization (PEO) Aurora chapter is holding a shoe fundraiser that started Sept. 26 and will end Dec. 1. 
    People can donate used shoes at drop sites located at Touch of Health Day Spa, The Old Homestead, Susan’s Used Books, Cornerstone Investments and Hamilton Telecommunications’ location on the west side of 12th Street.
    Locals are encouraged to donate used shoes during the month where the total poundage of shoes collected will be converted into money for the organization via a partnership with group Funds to Orgs. Funds collected by the shoe fundraiser will go to finance business opportunities for women in the Caribbean, Latin America and Africa.
