Local veterans celebrated with Quilts of Valor at Plainsman

Quilts given out during A’ROR’N Days weekend festivities

Family, friends and community members gathered inside the Plainsman Museum Saturday morning to honor and celebrate five veterans.
The Nimble Thimble Quilt Guild presented the guests of honor with quilts created by their members as Janette Friesen shared each of their stories. Among the veterans were Curt Carlson, James William Kaura, Byron "Butch" Lewin, Gary E. Ross and Marlin Seeman.
