Everyone has their own experiences throughout life, but many people find themselves in similar situations. Josh Salmon has found that a way to help connect with people and their daily challenges is through the art of poetry.
In his newest book, “Ponderings of a Guppy” he explores themes ranging from difficulties finding a partner and job to lighter topics such as being a father and a child’s imagination.
Salmon got his start in writing in high school. Looking back he reflected on having assignments to write poems.
“I couldn’t write anything,” he recalled. “I had to do it and there was no way I could do it. So I wrote the Child’s Imagination, which is about me wanting to be Superman. They actually published it in the M Street Odyssey, which was a book of junior’s and senior’s poetry.”
