A Hampton man was injured Tuesday afternoon when the riding mower he was operating next to Highway 34 in Hampton was struck by another vehicle.
Hamilton County Chief Deputy Aaron Smith reports that Patrick Reisdorff, who is part of the village maintenance team, was mowing in the ditch on the south side of the highway across from Joseph Electric at about 3:45 p.m. Tuesday when the collision occurred. Smith reports that Reisdorff was taken by air ambulance to a hospital, but his condition is unknown at this time.
Smith declined to comment on the circumstances of the crash or the driver of the other vehicle, saying the accident is still under investigation by the sheriff's office.
