While most classes were more easily transitioned to being socially-distanced and non-touch heavy, Family and Consumer Science subjects rely heavily on having students participate in hands-on activities in subject areas like cooking and design. 
“I typically provide the students with the majority of supplies,” FCS teacher Valerie Hinrichs said. “Due to increased sanitizing procedures, I requested students provide some materials on their own. I also have to sanitize each and every pencil, marker, hole puncher, etcetera, the students use.”
