Local fire crews worked through bitter cold temps to help tame a Marquette house fire in the morning hours of Jan. 21.

Firefighters from Marquette, Aurora, Hampton and Central City gathered in the bitter cold Friday morning, Jan. 21, in an effort to battle a fully-involved house fire on Marquis Ave. The call went out sometime before 2:30 a.m., followed by a call for mutual aid. It took all crews a number of hours to subdue the flames. No injuries have been reported at this time.
