The High Plains school board accepted the resignation of 7-12 principal Cameron Hudson at its regular monthly meeting Monday, marking the end of an era for the longtime Storm educator.
For 12 years, Hudson has been an educational leader for High Plains, moving HPC toward the development of a career readiness and technology-based education.
Hudson has also been a teacher and coach for High Plains during his long tenure and explained his decision to resign wasn’t an easy one.
“I appreciate it,” Hudson said. “It wasn’t a choice – it was the right choice for me. I wanted to get it done right away so you had time to figure things out.”
Hudson’s recent plans don’t include leaving for another school, but an opportunity outside of education altogether. Hudson added that High Plains has a lot of positive things going right now within its walls to be proud and excited about.
