Dana seeking new nominations for board review

Body

The Phillips Village Board of Trustees rejected the nomination of Alan Arnett by Chairman Les Dana with a tied vote of two for and two against at the board meeting Jan. 3.
The two-year position on the board was originally resigned by Marvin Ziola and left vacant after the November election with appointed council member Jordan Watson taking former Chairman Jim Crawford’s four-year position on the board.
Dana stated his reasons for nominating Arnett before the vote, citing past government service and the number of write-in votes the candidate received last year.
