Linda Chaney, age, 74, of Grand Island, formerly of Giltner, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at G.I. Regional Medical Center. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, August 19 at the Chapel of Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora. Interment will be in the Giltner Cemetery.

Dorothy McBride

Dorothy McBride passed away peacefully on August 13, 2022 in Lincoln. She was born on September 28, 1930 in Loup City, to her parents Edna and Stephen Elba Smalley. Dorothy graduated from Loup City High School in 1948, and went on to get her Education Degree from Kearney State College in 1950.

Clarence William Blase, 91, of Hordville, died at his home on Thursday, August 4, 2022.  Funeral services will be on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church near Polk with Rev. Carl D. Peters, age 97 of Henderson, died August 1, 2022 in Henderson.  He was born November 23, 1924 in Henderson to Daniel E. and Anna (Thieszen) Peters.  He attended school in District 33 until 8th grade, 2 ½ years of High School and 2 years of Bible School.
