NPPD study tracks area’s economic trends

Hamilton County added 420 nonfarm jobs to the local payroll between 2009-19 with a majority of those coming in the private sector, though the manufacturing sector lost 59 total jobs over that same period.

Mars Petcare gives Aurora Adopt-A-Pet a helping hand

A group of volunteers from Mars Petcare worked under the scrutinizing looks and constant yelling of the toughest bosses out there -- kittens. The team was out at Aurora Adopt-A-Pet Aug. 26 to lend a helping hand on the to-do list of projects and general maintenance that needed to be done.

Members of the Hamilton County 4-H gathered at the Nebraska State Fair over the weekend to showcase their livestock and static exhibits. Due to changes made to the fair static exhibits weren’t judged individually.

Westfield now allowing family visits

Residents at Westfield Quality Care were able to greet family members in person for the first time in months starting Aug. 16, a huge step forward in dealing with the on-going impact of a pandemic which claimed the life of 13 residents earlier this year.
