Dine United event to benefit food pantry

Ditch fire spreads near Marquette

A call went out on Tuesday around 2 p.m. for a ditch fire on 22 Road just west of Marquette.
Marquette fire chief D.J. Frauendorfer reported that cause of the fire was most likely a cigarette thrown out of a window.

Hamilton County tops 80% voter turnout

Hamilton County showed up in force for Tuesday’s General Election, with more than 80 percent of registered voters weighing in.
In accordance with the unofficial election results from Hamilton County, as of noon on Nov. 4, 5,607 ballots were cast in this year’s election.
