Body

Brekyn Papineau was beat up and bruised. His shoulder was in a wrap.
But coach Derek Keasling knew that there was no way Papineau, even in rough shape, wouldn’t go out and give it 100 percent for his final match.
Papineau’s shoulder wasn’t the best, limiting him in his third place match against Mason Villwok of Elkhorn.
Yet, that’s how much the sport means to Papineau, ending his career with a fourth place effort at the NSAA state wrestling championships at the CHI Health Center in Omaha.
Papineau was pinned in that final match and was frustrated, but later shared a private moment with his coach in the trainer’s room, ice on the injured shoulder, knowing his Aurora wrestling career was over.
