Owens inks with South Dakota
Mack Owens has been committed to South Dakota since mid-August. His decision never wavered and was made official Wednesday.
Owens signed his letter of intent to continue his academic and football career at South Dakota and join the Coyote program as an inside linebacker on early signing day.
The Aurora senior has had an illustrious career for the Huskies, including a state championship and two runner-up finishes. Owens and his senior teammates played in 14
playoff games out of a possible 16. An 11-3 record in the playoffs over four years.
In his senior year, Owens was named a 1st Team Class B defensive player by the Omaha World-Herald for a second consecutive season.
The 6’3” 220-pound senior linebacker led the team defensively with 58 total tackles, including 38 solo and two sacks.
