It only takes about five minutes of being around Andrew Murillo to find out he’s a high-energy, passionate guy.
The passion shows up on the coaches bench, in the team huddles and even in the practice gym.
“I’m definitely relationship-oriented,” Murillo shared. “I want to make sure the girls in this program walk away as better people through the game of volleyball.”
While Andrew Murillo is set to begin a new era of Aurora volleyball, he understands where the program has been in the past and wants to build on that tradition in 2022 and beyond.
Murillo is taking over the Aurora program from longtime coach Lois Hixson, who compiled a 349-198 record over the last 16 seasons.
