Playoff football weather was in the air Friday night, giving a preview of what's to come during week eight of the high school football season.

Carlos Collazo carried the ball 21 times for 191 yards and a touchdown. The Husky junior has crossed the 1,000-yard plateau through eight games with 1,061 yards on the year.

Carsen Staehr made several plays for the Huskies both in all three phases of the game. The junior totaled 77 receiving yards on seven grabs and a touchdown as well as multiple pass breakups and a game-changing kick return late in the first half.

Aurora (6-2) has now won six games in a row ahead of its season finale next week at home against Seward (7-1) with a district championship on the line.

The 8-man regular season came to an end Friday, with Giltner and HPC ending the year with losses. The Storm finish the regular season 3-5 while the Hornets end with a 1-6 mark. Hampton (3-4) will end its regular season Thursday at Santee.
