Aurora played part in one of the more enticing three-way matchups on opening night of the 2022 season.
The Lady Huskies traveled to Wahoo, taking on the Warriors as well as the Norris Titans in a triangular. Aurora defeated Wahoo in three, 25-19, 24-26 and 25-18 before falling to Norris, 25-23 and 25-12.
For first-year coach Andrew Murillo, who earned his first win with the program Thursday, the biggest learning moment for him in the team was the confidence Aurora can hang with anyone.
“We know we can compete with any team,” he said. “When we play together and have a cohesive synergy of competing for each other and with each other, we are a tough team to beat.”
