Logan Svoboda powered his way into the semifinals Thursday morning to highlight Aurora's day 1 efforts at the NSAA state wrestling championships in Omaha.

The Aurora freshman won his first matchup with a pinfall before grinding out an 8-6 decision in the quarterfinals. Svoboda will compete in Friday night's semifinals against Bennington's Cadyn Coyle. 

Karsten Hohm won his opening round matchup before falling in the quarterfinals to Hunter Jacobsen of Waverly. The Aurora junior will battle back in the second round of Friday morning's consolation rounds.

Carson Krejci made his first appearance at the CHI Health Center Thursday morning, eventually getting pinned in the first round. Krejci will compete in Friday morning's consolation rounds. 

Aurora's Natalie Bisbee and Aubrie Beed will be in action during Thursday afternoon's session, beginning at 3 p.m.
