Area football roundup week 5
Three of the four ANR area teams played Thursday night football and two of those scored victories in road games.
Aurora moved to 5-0 on the season with another convincing win at St. Paul, 54-13. For the fourth game in a row, Carlos Collazo ran for 200-plus yards, racking up a season-high 269 yards and five touchdowns against the Wildcats Thursday night.
Through five games, Collazo has eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark, sitting at 1,138 yards on 101 carries for just over 11 yards per touch alongside 18 rushing scores.
Hampton went on the road Thursday night and collected a convincing 65-6 win at Elba. The Hawks scored a safety from Kash Majerus and two touchdowns from Evan Pankoke inside a minute of game time in the second quarter on its way to a 2-2 mark at the midway part of the season.
High Plains was the lone area team to play on Friday night and at one point held a 16-point lead in the first half, but couldn't hold off a pass-first Nebraska Lutheran attack in the end.

Aurora @ St. Paul, 54-13
