Paula Harriet Simkins, 85, of Hordville, died Monday, October 11, 2021 at Azria Nursing Home in Central City.  Funeral services will be Friday, October 15, 2021 at 1 p.m. at Solt-Wagner Funeral Home.  Visitation will be Friday, October 15, 2021 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Karen Lynn (Cassel) Carlson, 70, died Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Bryan East Medical Center in Lincoln.  Funeral services will be Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 1 p.m. at the United Methodist Church with Rev. Tom Lucas and Rev. Jim Garfield officiating.

Donald "Don" Anderson

Donald L. “Don” Anderson, 90, of Central City, died on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Litzenberg Memorial Long Term Care Center in Central City.  Funeral services will be on Monday, October 11, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Central City with Pastor Tom Lucas officiating.

Brenda Grupe

Brenda Lynn Grupe, 49, of Englewood, Colo., passed away peacefully on Thursday, Sept. 23, 2021. Per her wishes there will be no funeral services as she wanted to have her body donated to science. A private family celebration of life will be at a later date.

Harvey Smith

Harvey H. Smith of Henderson, passed away on October 2, 2021 at the age of 88 at Henderson.  He was born to Henry H. and Margaret (Friesen) Smith on March 20, 1933 on his Grandpa Friesen’s farm west of Henderson in Hamilton County.

Jerry Denton

Jerry Linn Denton passed into eternity at Hospice House in Omaha, to join his parents (Kenneth and Veva) and grandparents on Friday, October 1, 2021.

Mary Jane Harney

Mary Jane Harney, age 91, passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at Memorial Community Care in Aurora. A Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 16, at Westside Covenant Church, Aurora, with visitation at 10 a.m. Rev. Karl Larson will officiate.

Lora Bonsall

Lora Leigh Bonsall was born September 29, 1969 in Burwell, to Dennis and DeeDii (Edythe Chaffin) Bonsall of Burwell.  She was raised on the family ranch north of Burwell. She died at Bryan Medical Center West Campus in Lincoln, on October 1, 2021 after a short illness not related to Covid-19.

Merlin (Merle) Yoder

Merlin (Merle) Yoder, 82, of Grand Island, passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at the Grand Island Good Samaritan Village from natural causes. Celebration of Life Service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct 6 at All Faiths Funeral Home.  Daniel Naranjo will officiate.
