John (Jack) Raymond Payne, 82, of Aurora, passed away on Feb. 3, 2025 in Tucson, Arizona.Jack was born on Nov. 27, 1942 to George and Paulina (Polly) Hammes Payne.Jack grew up on ranches in the panhandle of Nebraska.

Raymond Brun Petersen, 96, of Ashland, entered into rest on February 1, 2025 at Oxbow Living Center in Ashland.  He was born August 7, 1928 in Aurora, to Peter Brun and Ane Marie (Nissen) Petersen.  Ray attended District 20 country school and Marquette School.

Roger Liebhart, age 74, of Lincoln, passed away on January 29, 2025.A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. on February 13 at the First Christian Church of Aurora. Pastor Penny will officiate. No Visitation. Inurnment will be in the Aurora Cemetery.

Mike Clymer, age 66, of Aurora, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at his home.Mike’s wishes were to be cremated.  Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, February 5 at the Chapel of Higby-McQuiston Mortuary.  Rev. Mary Scott will officiate.

Pauline Quiring

Pauline Eileen Quiring, age 67, of Lincoln, died Monday, January 20, 2025 in Lincoln. She was born on May 3, 1957 to Arnold and A. Deborah (Chader) Jensen in Grand Island. On July 7, 1979 she was united in marriage to Gordon Lee Quiring in Aurora. She graduated from Marquette High School in 1975.
