Vera Grudzinski

Celebration of life service for Vera M. Grudzinski, 91 of Norfolk, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, November 11, 2024 at the Westridge United Methodist Church, Norfolk. Officiating the service will be Pastor Caitlin Bentzinger. Burial will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, Norfolk. Visitation will be held from 12-2 p.m., Sunday, at Stonacek Funeral Chapel, Norfolk. In lieu of flowers family ask that memorials be sent to Westridge United Methodist Church in Norfolk. 
Vera died on Monday, November 4, 2024 at the Heritage of Bel-Air Nursing Home, Norfolk. Stonacek Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. Vera was born on March 8, 1933 in Grand Island, to John and Marie (Wiegert) Ehlers. She attended District 32 and graduated from Grand Island High School in 1951. After high school Vera was employed with Hoffman Collection Agency and later became a dental assistant for Dr. Yost. 
Vera married Clair Grudzinski on September 7, 1959 in Grand Island. In 1971 the family moved to Norfolk when Vera started working as the Norfolk Jr. High cafeteria supervisor until her retirement in 1992. Vera was a member of Westridge United Methodist Church, Norfolk. 
Vera is survived by children Ann (Tom) Schultz of Norwalk, Iowa, Mike (Tina) Grudzinski of Norfolk, daughter-in-law Shelley Grudzinski of Norfolk, grandchildren Tom Grudzinski, Nick (Erin) Grudzinski, Haley Grudzinski, TJ Schultz, Michelle (Bronson) Frye, great-granddaughter Emersyn Grudzinski, nieces and nephews. 
Vera was preceded in death by her husband Clair, son Patrick, parents John and Marie, brother Lloyd, sisters Wilma Beekman, Ethel Manchester, and Doris Rouse. Condolences can be expressed to the family online at www.stonacekfuneralchapel.com.
