Scott Frickel
Memorial Services for Scott Lee Frickel, age 56, of Lincoln, will be at 4 p.m., Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Seger Funeral Home in Atkinson, with Vicar Nancy Moore officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Atkinson. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. before the service at the funeral home.
Scott Lee Frickel, age 56, of Lincoln, passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at Bryan East Hospital in Lincoln. He was born October 3, 1964 in O’Neill, to David L. and Linda L. (Jones) Frickel.
Scott had cardiac surgery when he was 3 1/2 months old. He began his education at the School for the Deaf in Omaha at 5 years of age and graduated from there in 1984. Scott attended Western Iowa for a short time and worked at various construction related jobs.
Scott is survived by: father, David (Cheryl) Frickel of Hampton, step-father, Neal Lange, Sr. of Yankton, SD; brothers: Dr. Neal (Tiffany) Lange, Jr. of Myrtle Beach, SC, Nathan Lange of Lincoln, Brock (Kristen) Lange of Stuart, Jamie (Shannon) Frickel of North Ogden, Utah; sisters: Kim (Steve) Cleary of Leigh, Monique Lange of Lincoln, Mandy (Kenny) Rogers of Wichita, KS, Amie (Craig) Shelton of Roy, Utah, Michella (Jeff) Honas of Hampton, Gena (Larry) Larson of Randolph, KS; 14 nephews, 9 nieces and many other relatives.
Scott was preceded in death by his mother Linda (Jones) Lange in 2007, a brother Daniel L. Frickel in 1998, maternal grandparents Lester (Shorty) and Erma Jones, and paternal grandparents Victor and Irene Frickel.
Memorials may be made out to the family and they will go to: Nebraska Association for the Deaf, Lincoln Chapter.
The service will be live streamed with an interpreter.
Seger Funeral Home, Inc. in Atkinson, is in charge of arrangements.
