June (Eastman) Frederiksen

June (Eastman) Frederiksen, 93, of Grand Island, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2022.
There will be a visitation at All Faiths Funeral Home on Friday, May 6 from 1-2 p.m. Burial will follow at Giltner Cemetery.
June was born June 14, 1928 in Aurora, the daughter of Elmer and Mabel (West) Eastman.  June graduated from Giltner High School in 1945 before attending college and earning her Bachelor’s in Elementary Education.  She taught for over 50 years in rural schools, St. Libory schools and Giltner schools.
On October 7, 1947, June married Gerald Frederiksen. The majority of their married life was spent in Grand Island and together they raised two children, Gary and Judy.
Those who will cherish her memory include her children, Gary Frederiksen of Grand Island and Judy Frederiksen of Kansas City; grandson, Cory Frederiksen and granddaughter, Nicole (Phil) Stewart; and five great-grandchildren, Caden and Logan Frederiksen and Sydney, Emma and Ethan Stewart.
She is also survived by brothers, Vern Eastman and Dennis Eastman and sister, Karen Burns; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald; parents; four sisters, Eloise Reed, Irene Rynearson, Erma Ellis and an infant sister, Elaine Anne; brother, Deryle Eastman; and two grandsons, Tony Phelan and Joe Phelan.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family to be designated later.
