Joyce Martin

Joyce Martin, 71, of Hampton, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at Azria Broadwell in Grand Island.
A Visitation will be held from at 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday, December 22 at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora. Following the visitation Joyce’s wishes were to be cremated.   Memorials may be made in care of the family to designate at a later date. Joyce Ann Martin, the daughter of Robert Ray and Alice Marie (Chadwell) Parsley, was born July 25, 1952 in London, Kentucky and passed away at Grand Island, on December 19, 2023 at the age of 71.
Joyce grew up in Doniphan and graduated from Doniphan High School.
Joyce married Ronald Martin on September 17, 1970 at London, Kentucky.   They lived in London, KY, Indianapolis, IN and settled in Hampton.   Joyce worked at K-Mart in Grand Island for 23 years and later on was a daycare provider.
Joyce was involved in the foster care program. Joyce and Ron opened their home to anyone and everyone and had a had a caring heart for the many lives they touched.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and son, Brian Martin.
Those left to cherish Joyce are her husband, Ronald of Hampton; daughter, Briana (Peter) Jackel of Willmar, MN; son, Brendon Martin of Hampton; son, Saito Martin of Hampton; 5 grandsons and 4 granddaughters.   She is also survived by her 4 brothers, Bob (Kathy) Parsley of Lincoln, Gary Parsley of Hampton, James (Barb) Parsley of Hampton and Myron (Holly) Parsley of Lincoln; 2 sisters, Deb (Jerl) Joseph and Karen (Pat) Gaughen all of Hampton and other relatives and friends.
