Dolores Johns
Dolores Johns, 85, of Elm Creek passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 11, 2022 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Elm Creek. Interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Elm Creek. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, July 10, 2022 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church followed by a 7 p.m. Rosary/Prayer Service.

Dolores was born June 11, 1937 in Kearney, to Harold and Avis (Miller) Moles. She attended Notre Dame Academy in Omaha, graduating with the class of 1955. On September 1, 1955, she was united in marriage to Wayne Johns at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Elm Creek.
Dolores was a longtime member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where she was involved in planning funeral dinners, Altar Society and as a Sacristan. She and Wayne chaired the Immaculate Conception Cemetery Board from 1979-2014.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Wayne Johns of Elm Creek; children, Joe (Rosemary) Johns of Aurora, Michelle (Mark) Leeds of Riverdale, Pat (Linda) Johns of Elm Creek and Carmen (Tim) Pearse of Kearney; grandchildren, Garret (McKenna) Johns, Ryan (Courtney) Leeds, Dustin (Jenny) Johns, Amanda (Cody) Rutan, Dominic (Hannah) Johns, Logan (Melissa) Pearse, Celeste (Kyle) Kantaras, Creighton (Chelsea) Pearse, Harrison (Lauren Davidsaver) Pearse; great-grandchildren, Chance and Cheyenne Leeds, Bronson, Kellin and Joelle Rutan, Kayden and Grayson Pearse, Nora and Nicholas Kantaras; sister, Shirley Hubbard of Elm Creek; brother, Mike Moles of Elm Creek; sister-in-law, Shirley Hizey of San Antonio, TX; many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Dolores was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Candy Leeds; brothers-in-law, Gary Hubbard, Gerald Hizey and Robert Johns.
