    Postseason volleyball is upon us and area teams now know the path towards a potential state tournament berth.

    Aurora (19-11) slotted into the B-2 district as the No. 2 seed and will play No. 3 Blair (20-13) Thursday, Oct. 30 at 5:30 p.m. in Aurora. Elkhorn North (26-6) is the No. 1 seed in the district and plays the winner of No. 4 Crete (8-22) and No. 5 Plattsmouth (5-17) on Thursday. The highest remaining seed will host the district final game Saturday, Nov. 1. with a scheduled start time of 10 a.m. 

    The H&H Bearcats (4-24) will compete in the six-team C2-3 subdistrict hosted by Thayer Central. H&H's opening round matchup is against No. 3 Shelby-Rising City (20-9) Monday night at 7 p.m. The winner of that game plays No. 2 Yutan (19-6) Tuesday at 5:30. Thayer Central (24-5) is the No. 1 seed and plays the winner of No. 4 Cornerstone Christian (13-14) and No. 5 Southern (9-18). 

    High Plains (16-12) has the No. 2 seed in the D2-4 subdistrict and opens postseason play Monday night against No. 3 Meridian (13-13) at Shickley. BDS (19-10) is the No. 1 seed and plays the winner of No. 4 Nebraska Lutheran (10-17) and No. 5 Dorchester (12-16). The subdistrict final game is scheduled for Tuesday night in Shickley at 6:30 p.m. 

    Giltner (12-16) is the No. 3 seed in the D2-5 subdistrict and opens play against No. 2 Silver Lake (17-9) Monday night at 6 p.m. in Red Cloud. Red Cloud (19-9) is the No. 1 seed and plays the winner of No. 4 Lawrence-Nelson (6-22) and No. 5 Harvard (3-23). The subdistrict final game is scheduled for Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m. in Red Cloud.
