Three area teams picked up wins Friday night as the regular season moves into October.

Aurora went on the road for a second week in a row and looked dominant doing so, shutting out Adams Central, 34-0.

The Huskies (3-3) led 20-0 at the half, including a 99-yard drive as one of those TDs. Aurora is set for a Homecoming tilt next Friday against Lincoln Christian, who lost 35-8 to Central City.

It was an ANR area matchup in Clarks Friday as High Plains hosted Giltner for its own Homecoming showdown. The two teams combined for 70 first half points as HPC pulled away, 80-34 for its third win of the season.

High Plains (3-3) travels to Lawrence-Nelson next week while Giltner (1-5) is set to host BDS. 

The Hawks also extended its season to a perfect 5-0 on Homecoming, downing Shelton 42-18. Hampton is set for a huge test next week, traveling to Stuart, the defending six-man state champs.
