Our country stands at an inflection point

In the wake of the Charlie Kirk assassination there are many calling for unity. United we stand and divided we fall… but stand against what? Stand shoulder to shoulder with who? What fellowship does light have with darkness? Can two walk together unless they agree?
The founders stood together because they had a unifying moral compass of virtue, right and wrong, tyranny, and vision for freedom. We are at an inflection point in our country where we have to decide which direction we will go.
The progressive radical left has a totally different vision of America, no moral compass, and their atheistic, mutilating, murderous worldview has been put on full display in the previous weeks. Humans don’t have inherent worth and value in their social construct because they are not made in God’s image. The murder of image bearers in the womb for convenience develops into the murder of opponents for convenience because it stems from the same worldview. The same ideology. The same godless and evil presuppositions. If you’re just an evolved monkey, what value is there in human life and if you are unhinged from objective moral absolutes determined by our creator and written into nature, you get people cheering the murder of a Christian husband and father who dared to respectfully discuss issues and show how the pagan worldview crumbles under its own weight. The godless left are revealing their true nature. They are Marxists.
Moreover, this secular humanism has been the hallmark of the worldview taught in the education system. This is not to say there aren’t still godly Christian teachers, but from elementary through university, there is a worldview that undergirds what is being taught and that is aimed at discipling young people in that worldview. The fruit is all around. Thankfully, by God’s grace, men like Kirk have shown the futility and incoherence of that worldview on the very campuses that indoctrinate a Marxist worldview and many have turned from it as they saw it crumble under the weight of its own incoherence.
All of that to say… we are not united. Christians have no fellowship with a wicked, godless ideology that we have made excuses for and sought to get along with for so long. You cannot get along with this because the Christian worldview is fundamentally different and fundamentally opposed. So stop. Stop placating and being steered by the emotional manipulation of the left. Stop giving your children to a godless ideology and being surprised when they reject God and objective truth. Stop listening to evangelical pundits at TGC and other organizations that pander to the left and claim we have something in common.
So what should you do?
1. Ground yourself in truth. Become a student of the Bible and let it shape your worldview. Conform your beliefs and actions to what God says.
2. Worship weekly with God’s people. Make the worship of God the focal point of your week
3. Worship daily in your home. Make your home a place where the word of God is read and believed, the psalms of God and the hymns of the church are sung, and where God is communed with and appealed to as a family.
4. Prioritize Christian relationships with men and women who you can be united with and who will stand shoulder to shoulder with you against evil.
5. Stop being timid and speak the truth as Charlie did. Stand up and say something. Don’t be silent. Point people to Christ. Don’t make excuses for the Bible or for God who reveals himself in the Bible and say what he says. Don’t apologize. Don’t back down. Vote accordingly. Speak openly. What was once basic fundamental Biblical Christianity is now called radical. Own it.
6. Reclaim ownership of the education of your children. Stop giving them to a godless system and calling it evangelism. It’s not. Education is discipleship. What worldview are they being discipled in and how do your education choices affect that? If you won’t pull them out of the government school system, get involved and reclaim the schools. Get teachers, administrators and school board members who have bought into this mind virus fired and out of our schools. The education of your children will be accounted for first and foremost by the father. Act accordingly.
7. Realize that what we do now, the choices we make, how we live and speak and act will determine the country and culture our children inherit. How bad does it have to get for us to wake up and act for the sake of our posterity so they can live in a country where they are free and aren’t given a Marxist mess to inhabit.
