Local scholarships available for every career path

Body

For students planning their next steps after high school, the rising costs of education can feel overwhelming. Fortunately, thanks to the generosity of local donors, the Hamilton Community Foundation provides a wide range of scholarships to help students pursue their dreams — no matter their chosen path.
Scholarships have been at the heart of the Hamilton Community Foundation for nearly 60 years. What began in 1965 with a single scholarship fund has grown into the foundation’s largest program, now awarding up to 190 scholarships totaling nearly $400,000 each year. For a county of less than 10,000 people, this is an incredible testament to the generosity of our community and something we can all be proud of.
With scholarships ranging from $500 per year to $15,000 per year over four years, these awards are designed to support students from all backgrounds and interests. Whether a student is heading into cosmetology, construction management, healthcare, aviation, education, agriculture, or countless other fields, there is likely a scholarship available to help.
It is a true privilege to work with such wonderful individuals and families in creating their legacy and connecting it to provide meaningful educational opportunities for students in our community. Many of our generous donors have chosen to support not only recent high school graduates but also returning adult students — those who are pursuing a degree after a break, completing one they started, or advancing their skills with a new certification.
With today’s technology, the entire scholarship process is completely online, making it easier than ever for students to explore opportunities and apply. While the application deadline for this year has passed, we encourage students and families to learn more about our scholarships and how they continue to make a difference in the lives of local students.
