Ronald Bliss, age 65, of Aurora, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Grand Island Regional Medical Center.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 4 at the chapel of Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora.   Rev. Daniel Bremer will officiate.  Interment will be in the Aurora Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora. Memorials may be made in care of family to be designated at a later date. Ronald Eugene Bliss, the son of John and Barbara Maxine (Jones) Bliss was born in Lawrence, Kansas on November 20, 1959 and passed away in Grand Island, on March 1, 2025 at the age of 65.
Ron grew up in Leavenworth, Kansas and attended St. Paul Lutheran Church and grade school.   He graduated from Pleasant Ridge High School in 1978.   He then went on to attend and graduate from St. John’s Lutheran College in Winfield, Kansas in 1981.
Ron was united in marriage to Barb Klawonn on November 8, 1981 and three children were born to this union: Miles, Jonathan and Zachariah.
Ron married Kelly Reimers on December 22, 2008.  Ron worked at Cabela’s and was a manager of a local hotel.   Ron served as a taekwondo instructor where he had his black belt. He was active in the Boy Scouts. He was a jack of all trades.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, his dogs, gardening, canning food and making homemade soap.  
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Mike Bliss.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Kelly of Aurora; three children, Miles (Nicole) Bliss, Jonathan (Sarah) Bliss and Zachariah Bliss; three step-children, William Reimers, Helen Reimer and Cheyenne Reimers; seven grandchildren, Henry, Sophia and Theodore Bliss, Gabriel and Evelette Bliss and Rori Reimers and Steven Clouse.   He is also survived by his sister, Debbie Trimmer; mother-in-law, Janie Bryan-Anngello; many nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.
