LeRoy Malousek, age 82, of Aurora, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at his home.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, December 2 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 1420 9 th Street, Aurora. Rev. Mark Seiker will officiate. Interment will be at Aurora Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Sunday at the church.   The Rosary will follow at 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to the family to designate at a later date.  Higby-McQuiston Mortuary is in charge of arrangements Condolences may be made to the family through the mortuary website at www.higbymortuary.com.
LeRoy Francis Malousek, the son of John and Eleanor (Tvrdy) Malousek was born in rural Saunders County, on December 4, 1941 and passed away in Aurora, on November 26, 2024 at the age of 82.  
LeRoy grew up in Weston,  and graduated from high school in Weston in 1959.   LeRoy worked for 36 years at the Saunders County Highway Dept. Road Crew as a road crew foreman.  
LeRoy married Sharon Platt on September 29, 1967 in Lincoln.  He served in the U.S. Army at Fort Bliss in Texas before being honorably discharged.  They had two sons: Torrey and Tracey.   They lived in Weston, and Lincoln before moving to Aurora in 2017.
LeRoy loved his family, friends and Riley his dog.   He enjoyed polka music and his Czech heritage as well as gardening and working outdoors.   LeRoy was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Aurora American Legion Post #42.  
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Eleanor Malousek; his brothers, Reynold, Michael and Gene Malousek and daughter-in-law, Judy Malousek.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 57 years, Sharon of Aurora; two sons, Torrey Malousek of Crestview, Florida and Tracey (Michele) Malousek of Aurora; grandchildren, Chloe and Brianna Spady of Aurora, James Malousek of Ogden, UT, Jessica Malousek of Fort Bragg, CA and Jennifer Duffy of Crestview, FL and great-grandchild, Holly Duffy of Crestview, FL.   He is also survived by his three brothers, James (Jean) Malousek of Weston, Dennis (Deb) Malousek and Bernie Malousek, both of Lincoln and his sister, Lucille Trojan of Dwight and other family members and friends.
