Larry Naeve, age 81, of Aurora, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2023, at CHI-St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 23 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Aurora. Rev. Mark Seiker will officiate.   Interment will be in the Aurora Catholic Cemetery.   Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 1420 9th Street in Aurora.  The Rosary will follow at 7 p.m. at the church. The funeral service will be livestreamed through Zoom Meeting ID 6297345912, Passcode Naev2023. Memorials may be made to the family to be determined at a later date. Larry Louis Naeve, the son of Louis T. and Leona M. (Hellbusch) Naeve was born on July 31, 1942 in Fullerton, and passed away on October 19, 2023 in Grand Island, at the age of 81.
Larry grew up in Albion and graduated from Albion High School in 1959.  
He was united in marriage to Theresa Rice on October 7, 1961.   To this union they had four children: Larry, Lori, Tim and Rick.   Larry worked as the assistant manager for the Fullerton Coop and then became manager of the Cargill Elevator in Giltner.   When they sold the elevator in Giltner, Larry became owner of T & L Liquor in Aurora with his wife Theresa.   They owned T & L for 30 years, before retiring in 2021.
Larry loved the outdoors. He enjoyed duck hunting, deer hunting, fishing and camping.   Larry liked doing all of these activities with his family and friends.   He was a Lifetime Member of Ducks Unlimited.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Aljo.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Theresa of Aurora; 4 children, Larry (Stacy) Naeve of Aurora, Lori (Bryan) Meyer of St. Libory, Tim (Teresa) Naeve of Chapman and Rick (JoAnn) Naeve of Grand Island; 5 grandchildren, Josh, Sarah, Amanda, Amber and Brooke and 8 great-grandchildren.   Larry is also survived by his siblings, Roger Naeve, Jimmy Naeve, Radene Temme and Marlene Ericson; six in-laws, nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.
