    Judith Kirkpatrick, age 78, of Aurora, formerly of Harvard, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2023, at Westfield Quality Care.
    A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, September 29 at Harvard United Church of Christ.   Rev. Dave Johnson will officiate.  Private family inurnment before the service.  Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora.   Memorials may be made to Tabitha Hospice, Westfield Quality Care or Harvard U.C.C.   Condolences may be e-mailed to the family through the mortuary website at www.higbymortuary.com.
    Judith Marlene Kirkpatrick, the daughter of Joseph and Hazel (Read) Mihm, was born at Hastings, on October 22, 1944 and passed away in Aurora, on September 24, 2023, at the age of 78.
    She grew up on a farm north of Harvard in Hamilton County.   Judith graduated from Harvard High School Class of 1962.   After graduating from Business College in Grand Island, she started working at the Hamilton County Courthouse in the County Welfare office in 1965 for several years.     
    On May 31, 1969, she married Robert Kirkpatrick at Christian Church in Harvard. They had three children: Robert J., Randy S. and Jody L.   Judith stayed at home to raise their family.   They moved to Kearney, Lincoln, Grand Island and finally back to the farm where they lived for 41 years, before moving to Aurora in 2015.   After the kids were grown, Judith worked for the Harvard Public School Kitchen for 17 years, where she became the head cook.
    Judith loved spending time in her massive vegetable garden, going on many trips with family and many trips with Bob.   She enjoyed attending her kids’ wrestling meets, football games and volleyball games, as well as all of the grandkids’ activities.
    She was preceded in death by her parents.
    Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Bob of Aurora; three children, Robert J. (Tracy)  Kirkpatrick and daughters, Skylar and Jhordyn; son, Randy S. (Jen) Kirkpatrick and daughter, Elise and daughter, Jody L. (Tyler) Hosier and daughters, Chloe and Caitlyn and son, Cade and numerous cousins.
