Aileen Chieko Gilliland
Aileen Chieko Gilliland, 74, of Henderson, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 1:05 a.m. Feb. 16, 2022. A burial service will be held at Buhler Memorial Cemetery, Buhler, Kans. at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22. There will be a memorial service at Grace Bible Fellowship Church in Central City at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 26.
Aileen was preceded in death by her parents, David and Margaret Oshiro.
She is survived by her husband, Irl Gilliland of Henderson, son David Gilliland of Reno, NV and daughter, Amy Gilliland of Enterprise, OR.
Her goal in life was to be a faithful witness and testimony for the Lord Jesus Christ and to hear the Lord say to her, “Well done thou good and faithful servant”. She, together with her husband, was a missionary in Alaska.
Aileen was an executive director for a Crisis Pregnancy Center, a fourth grade teacher, an administrative assistant for a retirement facility, a dispatcher and jailer for Merrick County, a cook at Nebraska Christian School, kitchen staff and activities helper at East Park Villa, a self-employed seamstress, a dedicated prayer warrior in her later years, and a most loving and committed wife and mother.
