Donald "Don" Anderson
Donald L. “Don” Anderson, 90, of Central City, died on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Litzenberg Memorial Long Term Care Center in Central City. Funeral services will be on Monday, October 11, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Central City with Pastor Tom Lucas officiating. Visitation will be on Monday, October 11 from 10 a.m. until service time. Interment will be at the Central City Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.

Don was born on December 30, 1930 to Harold A. and Myrtle (Berck) Anderson. He grew up in the Marquette area, and graduated from Marquette High School in 1948. Following his graduation, he began his electrician apprenticeship in the Marquette area. On October 1, 1950 Don was married to Vivian Schenk in Central City. Following his apprenticeship he started his own Electric Company, Don’s Electric. He would run his own business for over 50 years, until his retirement in his early 70’s. Don remained in the area following is retirement.
He enjoyed building stock cars, following NASCAR, especially the drivers who drove Fords. He also flipped houses and enjoyed getting to spend time at the Kwik Stop and Pump and Pantry having coffee and visiting with his friends.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife; Vivian of Central City, his children; Lynnelle “Lynn” (Terry) Mueller of Malvern, IA, Marcelyn “Marcy” Hanson of Chandler, AZ, and Timothy “Tim” (Deana) Anderson of Aurora, 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; Ralph Anderson, and one sister; Dorothy Peterson.
