Aurora’s 2020 season began with a tough slate, hosting preseason ranked foes Wahoo and Norris Thursday night.
The Lady Huskies pushed Class C-1 No. 1 Wahoo to the limit, but the Warriors hung on to win in three sets, 21-25, 25-20 and 25-15. Rounding out the night, Aurora fell in straight sets to Class B No. 3 Norris 25-18 and 25-16.
Aurora coach Lois Hixson pointed out how exciting it was just to take the floor and play in a match after how everything has gone since the winter sports season concluded.
