By the end of its own tournament Friday evening, the Lady Husky softball team had the brooms out.
After losing the first game of the year the night before in walk-off fashion, Aurora won all three of its home tournament games Friday, defeating St. Paul 13-2, Gering 6-5 and Central City 9-5 at the 4-Diamond Sports Complex. Aurora added a 9-0 run rule victory over Fillmore Central/Exeter Milligan Monday night for a 4-1 start.
Aurora coach Ashton Voss was quick to point out she couldn’t be much happier with how the first four games unfolded as the Lady Huskies outscored the three teams 28-1 on the day.
