Giltner coach Chip Bartos believes physicality will play a big factor in the success of the Hornet football team in 2020.
That’s an odd thing to comprehend about a football program that’s prided itself on speed and quickness for such a long time. But, after an 0-8 season in 2019, Bartos feels like being physical is a key to bolstering the win column.
“We have decent speed but our strength is going to be physicality. That hasn’t been a strength for Giltner in recent years and it takes time to build that within a team,” Bartos explained. “I want to wear down teams this year instead of outscore them.”
