Nebraska Archeological Society offers scholarships
The Nebraska Archaeological Society has announced that the Dana Deger Memorial Scholarship has been increased to $800.
The Nebraska Archaeological Society is offering two scholarships to college students who are majoring in archaeology -- the Leroy Follis Memorial Scholarship and the Dana Deger Memorial Scholarship. These scholarships honor people who were active in the archaeological field.
The applicants must have a 3.0 grade point average out of 4.0, have completed 12 credit hours in archaeology classes, be an undergraduate or graduate student, have graduated from a Nebraska High school or be enrolled in a post-secondary school in Nebraska.

The applications are due by July 15. The Nebraska Archaeological Society is a non-profit organization and has no paid officers or employees. It endeavors to develop a better understanding among students and collectors of archaeological material, professionals, as well as museums and institutions of learning.
