Badura falls in match play semis

Aurora native Caleb Badura had quite a run going in summer match play competition that came to an end last week. Badura, the defending champion of the Nebraska Match Play championship, moved through early early competition to the semifinals, setting up an old Big 8 matchup between Badura, the Husker, against Luke Kluver, the Jayhawk.

Kluver was two up through six and eventually one up through the first nine. Badura worked it back to being one down after 14 and had a chance to force extra holes on 18, but came up short. Also competing in the stroke play portion but unable to qualify for the match play was Aurora’s Alex Kubik and Ethan Shaw.
