Four days before his priority bill was set to be heard on the floor of the Nebraska Legislature, Dist. 34 Sen. Loren Lippincott explained his reasons for carrying a winner-take-all election proposal, LB3, during a town hall forum Friday in Aurora.

Aurora grad and former mayor Bill Peard continues to watch his city of Waukee, Iowa become one of the fastest-growing cities in the state. Growing from 2,500 residents to over 30,000 over the course of his 22 years serving in the government.

Majerus elected as state FFA officer

Aurora High School FFA member Kash Majerus has been elected as one of five state vice presidents on the Nebraska FFA state officer team for 2025-26. The officer team is selected through a multi-day application and interview process and was finalized at the FFA State Convention this past weekend.
