Free shop event aims to give back for the holidays

“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”  This verse, 2 Corinthians 9:7 is what inspired Vicki Hill and her family to start a clothing and toy drive for the residents of Hamilton County.

Delivering a child into this world was a moving experience for Jaydon Stuart, so much so that in addition to becoming a new mother she was motivated to pursue her life’s passion and become a doula.

The sound of Christmas is in the air for patrons at Aurora Mall, where the Salvation Army bells are ringing. Among the many volunteers helping ring the bells and collect donations this year were Elena Kuehner, left, and Hailey Hanneman, representing the Aurora High School National Honor Society.
