Marching Exhibition a 1-hit wonder
The Aurora COVID Marching Exhibition was beyond successful, according to a handful of visiting band directors and evident by the copious amounts of fun had by band students in the stands between performances.
Beyond the fun, however, Saturday’s event served as a learning opportunity, as well as a bright spot, to cap off what would have been a more involved band competition year had it not been for the pandemic.

DeMers provides election update
With the upcoming General Election less than a month away, community members are gearing up to participate -- however they can -- in this historic voting experience.
Though most Hamilton County residents have already planned out how they are going to vote -- by knowing where their polling place will be, or filling out their early ballot application -- Hamilton County Clerk Jill DeMers took a few minutes Monday to reflect on the dates, options and more.

High Plains rallies for five-set victory
High Plains dug itself a big hole with a 2-0 deficit at McCool Junction after having opportunities to win each of the first two sets.
They didn’t lose after that.
The Lady Storm volleyball team rallied from the 2-0 deficit to defeat the Mustangs in five sets, 22-25, 24-26, 25-20, 26-24 and 15-12 Sept. 29.

New universe-themed exhibit to debut at Edgerton Explorit Center
Just as science and the world is ever-changing, so too are exhibits on display at the Edgerton Explorit Center in Aurora.
This free-to-host traveling exhibit has landed at the Edgerton for the next few months and will be open to the public starting the weekend of Oct. 16. Complete with couches, interactive tables, games, books and more, this exhibit seeks to teach youth (and probably adults, too) about the solar system, the Earth and other things in outer space.

Fall clean set from Oct. 10-18 in Aurora
