    The City of Aurora has announced that the city landfill will be open Monday and Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5 p.m., and Wednesday from 9:30-noon, 1-7 p.m. accepting tree debris from Saturday’s storm.
    Residents are asked to move trees and branches to the curb so that city crews can begin picking them up and hauling them away. Residents who have the means to get debris to the landfill themselves are asked to do so.
    City crews will start picking up debris west of 1st Street and north of Highway 34 and west of Highway 14, then move to the center of town, then eventually east of Highway 14 and northeast of 14 and 34.
    Decisions on possibly leaving the landfill open longer if needed will be evaluated and announced Wednesday.
