Kurt Haecker with Home Federal Bank in Grand Island was the lucky winner in Thursday’s Heartland United Way car giveaway, highlighting a unique Facebook Live event during which the 2020 campaign total was announced at $1.23 million.
Pandemic protocol changed the look and feel of the annual 25 Keys of Christmas event, much like it did the campaign itself. Rather than the traditional Dinsdale Automotive venue, the event was moved to the Heartland Event Center, which was donated for the evening, allowing a very spaced out ceremony. Participation was limited to a small but enthusiastic crowd.
