Crisis Center a valuable resource to vulnerable population

Karla Schwieger-Arnold, executive director of the Crisis Center, visited the Aurora City Council recently on behalf of the organization, a non-profit based out of Grand Island that holds a mission to help survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking.
While her mission at city council was a budget request of $2,000 for use towards Crisis Center services, she also updated council members on how services are being utilized in Aurora and Hamilton County and how the requested funds would help.
“Overall our goal is to help people affected by domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking,” Schwieger-Arnold said.
