Coming to the Aurora school theater March 18-19 is “Madam’s Been Murdered, Tea Will Be Late,” comedic murder mystery set in a dusty and haunted old English manor filled with a unique set of characters.
The production’s Friday and Saturday shows will both start at 7 p.m., with $5 tickets sold at the door. Ticket sales begin as early as 6:20 p.m. and theater doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for seating.
“This year’s play, Madam’s Been Murdered, Tea Will Be Late by Pat Cook, is full of surprises as the cast tries to determine who has killed Madam Mary,” said Karrie Wiarda, drama director for high school spring productions. “It takes place in England, so some of the students get a chance to stretch their acting abilities by trying on an English accent. Each character has just enough quirkiness to make the audience wonder if perhaps they are the murderer.”
The classic case of who-done-it.
