A local tradition is unfolding this week with a celebration that marks a significant historical milestone while also honoring our ag-based heritage.  This year’s version of the county fair marks the 150th anniversary of the Hamilton County Agricultural Society.

 We’ve noticed that most senior family members want their children to have a better lifestyle than they did. No matter how good the current lifestyle is, mom and dad want the kids to have a better one. Unfortunately “better” seems to be related to monetary wealth.

Neighbors give a helping hand after storm

Dear Editor: I want to thank the community of Aurora for all the “neighbors-helping-neighbors” this past weekend following the disruptive wind storm. Almost everyone was affected in some way, but what I saw was everyone being willing to reach out and give a helping hand to their neighbor.
