It’s been a tough opening season for Husker football fans. But, the Betterhalf has not lost faith and continues to “hang in” there.
Some of her friends (namely Barb Perry and Linda Ptacnik) had sent her Husker momentous reminders such as a small replica of a Ford Model T Runabout with a big “N” on it and other items such as jewelry and logos have come her way.
However, she was caught off guard when the Johnson clans from Aurora and Imperial presented her with a small statuette that implied the Betterhalf must have posed for (SEE PIX).
Dressed in Nebraska game attire’ sitting on a stool, holding a Husker banner, and a cold drink that statuette portrayed her Husker enthusiasm and her fan image perfectly.
At first I accused her of posing for the creation of the statuette . . . which she denied. Then, I wondered if she gathered any monetary royalties  from her like production and hadn’t shared them with me.
There’s nothing that could reflect her Husker enthusiasm any better than this little statuette which now sits on the shelf by our TV in the family room with other Husker paraphernalia.
Has it made the Husker season better? We’ll have to wait and see.
